“We insist the Ec should come clean on STL” – Nana Akomea
The communication director for the opposition NPP Nana
Akomea has called on the electoral commission for full disclosure and clarity
about the contractual relationship between the EC and its vendor Superlock
Technology Limited (STL) in the 2012 elections.
According to Nana Akomea at a press briefing said , the matter has been revived by two statements issued by his outfit and he is therefore calling on the
chairperson of the electoral commission to
make know to the general public
about the current status of bids for proposal for electronic transmission of results for this year’s elections .
He said, it
dishearten on how the E/E has issued a blank denial on the statement made by
the interior minister after the arrest of the three South Africans by the BNI that the EC in 2012 contracted STL to transmit
results .
Nana Akomea again lashed the E/C for not being fair to
them by letting Odike’s UFP to confuse their members with its party colors.
He noted, Odikes party colors are conflicting with that
of the NPP and to him he sense mischief by the party and its faineances NDC.
He assured Ghanaian and its supporters that they as NPP
party will see beyond the press conference and logged an official complaint
with the electoral commission.
