PRESIDENT MAHAMA IS RICHER THAN GHANA

Sedulous investigations by the Ghana Must Know Forum into the Panama papers, have revealed, amongst other dubious deals, a $10 billion offshore account separately operated by President John Dramani Mahama in the Singapore and Dubai.

The same paper, which revealed on Page 911, 120 that the Head of Transparency International in Chile, Mr. Gonzalo Delaveau, UK Prime Minister David Cameron together with some high profile politicians have offshore accounts managed by international legal firm Mossack Fonseca, also revealed on Page 1,000,050 of their leaks, that President John Mahama holds billions of dollars in Dubai and Singapore.

The Ghana Must Know Forum is however shocked, though not surprised, that in the wake of the numerous challenges affecting this nation and the lack of basic human physiological needs such as potable water, the President of the Republic could insensitively hide such amounts of money capable of averting the many cries and woes of the ordinary Ghanaian.

We are clear in our minds, that this revelation is a justification of the many allegations leveled against the President, that he aids corruption, superintends over corrupt activities and corrupt himself. If not so, how then, will a former lawmaker, in less than 4years as President hide such billions of dollars far away from the tattered masses that elected him into power.

We therefore call on the President to duly account for how he acquired those billions of dollars, shamefully retrieve and channel them towards the provision of basic amenities for selected communities with periodic accounts being made accessible to the public and further subject himself to investigations by CHRAJ, EOCO and the CID, with reports of these investigations thereafter being made public for our perusal.
