E/C urged to strive for perfection in the Voter register

The Programs manager of Center for Human Rights and Advanced Legal Research, Mr. Akosah Ernest, has urged the Electoral commission (EC) to strive for perfection and scrap the current voters register as majority of the Ghanaian populace is demanding.


Mr. Akosah speaking with TOPNEWS1 about the debatable issue which has divided scores of political figures urged the EC to do the right thing by putting up measures to ensure validity in the voter register and also advised Politicians to conduct their campaign decently in order to have peaceful election.

Center for Human Rights and Advanced Legal Research CHRALER is an NGO focused on providing free legal counsel to the less privileged, enforce and protect the rights of all citizens and act as watchdog to ensure that public office holders perform their duties in accordance with the Law.

He has further encouraged Ghanaian to exercise their franchise in the voting exercise as the constitution demands and that they should vote for the right person who would provide the demand of the people.

"All sounding Ghanaian must go to the polling grounds to vote for the person he or she prefers and avoid staying home for someone to go and choose a leader for you whom you may not be pleased" he added.
