Adonko bitters is safe for consumption - FDA

The popular Adonko bitters produced by Angel group of companies’, is now safe for consumption, the foods and drugs authority has announced.

This was announced in a statement by the FDA after they lifted the ban imposed on the product after withdrawing its registration license last Month.

The FDA ordered the withdrawal of the registration license of Angel group of companies’ product, Adoko bitters and fined the company Ghc 25,000 for failing to adhere to their regulations.

The banning of the product sparked a lot of public concerns, as most people accused some competitors of the CEO of Angel Groups of companies, Dr. Kwaku Oteng of masterminding the move.

But the Public relations officer at the FDA, Mr. James Lartey speaking in an interview with Summer, host of Angel sports on Angel first half Sports show clarified that the move was in line with the duties of the Food and Drugs Authority as they needed to embark on some checks on the product.

According to him, consumers can patronize the product, as their checks on the product have proved there is no fault with it.
