Mrs, Cecelia Dapaah stolen money: Police submit case docket of investigation to the office of the Attorney general



Police have forwarded the docket of the case of Mrs. Cecelia Abenaa Dapaah, former minister for sanitation and water resources and her husband, Mr. Daniel Osei Kuffour to the office of the Attorney general and Ministry of justice.

Some suspects involved in the case have been arrested by the police as well as some other stolen items retrieved, whiles the suspects have been arraigned before court.

A statement signed by Assistant commissioner of police/ director, public affairs, Ms Grace Ansah Akrofi says, the docket of the case has been submitted to the Attorney general and Ministry of justice to seek their advice to help in their investigations.


A whooping "cash sum" of $1m (£780,000), as well as 300,000 euros ($333,000) and 350,000 Ghana cedis ($30,000), plus other valuables were stolen by house helps of the former minister.

 

However, the embattling former Minister has disputed the figures given in the court document but the revelations outraged many in Ghana
