Shoot and Kill any armed robber who intrudes your house - Police commander commands

The Kwabre East District Police commander, Superintendent Suleymana Ibrahim has given some security tips to the general public on how to defend themselves against armed robbery attacks.

 The security officer commanded that anyone who would be attacked by an armed robber should shoot and kill the armed robber or apply any other means to defend themselves from the robbers.

 He said this when addressing Teachers, students and parents at Gyama Pensan Senior High School in the Kwabre East District of Ashanti Region during the inauguration of the school's Cadet last 
Thursday, 21st December, 2017.

 He was there as the guest speaker for the event.

 Speaking at the event, Spt. Suleymana Ibrahim armed robbery activities become more intensified especially when we are getting to the end of the year, as these criminals take advantage of the occasion to rob people, emphasizing on the need for everyone to be extra cautious on this season.

 "Armed robbers have risen this season, so you need to be very careful. If an armed robber comes to your house and you are holding a gun, you can shoot hut if you can't shoot, do not challenge them or they might harm you".

 Hinting on safety measures on how to protect yourself from armed robbers, the security personnel indicated that do not stir directly at armed robbers who intrude your home or they can kill you.

 He lamented over the situation at which minors have engaged into criminal activities, blaming it on bad parenting.

 He said, "Nowadays, children are more involved in armed robbery activities. They have been addicted to illicit drug use and this embolden them to perpetrate robber acts".

 He urged urged parents to keep close eyes on their children in order to protect them from venturing into any bad company.

Inhumane:Taxi driver beaten mercilessly by Policemen

A taxi driver believed to be in his 40's who ply Anloga Junction to Atonsu had a close shave after some t hree Police Men p ounced on him and assulted him at the Anloga junction Taxi rank. The victim who mentioned his name as Agya Poku explaining his ordeal to TOPNEWS1 said, he engaged in an exchange of insults with the police personnel who were not in their uniform for intentionally blocking the road with their motor bike whilst the traffic light had indicated green. He said, the cops chased him to his taxi rank where he packed his car, dragged him out of his car and started to beat him up, handcuffed him and drove him off to the central Police station where he received several brutalities from other colleagues of the men in black. The driver added that, he was taken to the Police counter after receiving the beatings where he was detained for sometime before releasing him. He is currently in the hospital receiving treatment.

Politicians Tasked to Respect Tradition

The Krontiene for Sunyani Traditional Council has urged politicians to respect traditional authorities in the country. According to Nana Oboaman Bofotia Boampensem, politicians in the country have over the years displayed gross disrespect for traditional rulers, adding that the politicians are too bossy.
