Critics Have No Basis; President Mahama Did Not Err In The ‘Montie 3’ Pardon Decision- Asiedu Nketiah

The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic
Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah aka General Mosquito has ruled out claims by
some critics that the president erred in pardoning the popular ‘Montie 3 gang’
who were convicted to a 4 months jail term upon being found guilty on a
contempt charge.
General Mosquito in a submission with TOPNEWS1 rather hailed the president for being
compassionate and exercising his power on the three known NDC activists.
He noted that, the people especially the NPP who are seriously criticizing
the president for releasing the trio have no basis as they (NPP) even opted out
when they were contacted to frame the constitution in 1992 so they are in no
better position to explain the constitution to the framers themselves.
He rather charged them to be prudent as any better
governance expert and constitutional critic will hail the president on his
decision.
Also, the NDC’s general secretary revealed that, the
party has postponed indefinitely its plans to launch its Manifesto as it has
coincidentally conflicted with an official national duty of the president.
He remarked that, although the manifesto launch was
slated to come off on this Saturday, 27th August, the president’s
official duties have made it necessary to re-schedule it.
He however advised his party folks to disregard any statement that the launch is still coming off this Saturday as an official date will be communicated to them when the party arrives at one
