Christian Group Calls For Close down Of Obinim's Church (IGWC).

A Christian group calling itself, Children of Christ, is calling for the close down of Bishop Daniel Obinim's International GodsWay Church, over what they described as gross disgrace to Christians.

This was after the controversial Man of God was cited in some criminal activities which have landed him at the National Police Headquarters in Accra.

Spokesperson for the group who spoke with TOPNEWS1 in a state of anonymity, questioned the credibility and the morale on what basis Bishop Obinim became a Pastor.

He decried the consequences of the attitude of the controversial Pastor on Christians and his congregants, saying it has the tendency of ruining the faith of most Christians who are weak in spirit.

Bishop Obinim is currently at the National Police Headquarters in Accra assisting the Police with investigations into an alleged fraud of a whooping sum of GHc 11.6 m.

A man whose identity is yet to be revealed, has reported Bishop Obinim to the Police in Accra for allegedly doping him of the aforementioned amount in pretext to help him retrieve his money from a Fetish priest, Okomfour Gyakpata.

According to the complainant, the man of God took the money which was then in a Gold substance, supposed to be his family property, to perform some form of rituals for him and to assist him claim back his money from the fetish priest.

He said, since June this year, he has not heard from the Pastor whom he trusted much and sacrificed his family property for him, just because he believed he was in the right position to help him.

Obinim was arrested yesterday after he turned in to the Police in Accra in honor of an invitation sent to him to report himself to the station.

The embattled Bishop is also being accused of physical and verbal assault for publicly subjecting a pregnant girl and his boyfriend in his Church over alleged fornication practice and attempted abortion.

Obinim was found in a video which has been viral on social media lashing two of his church members with a belt and also handling the belt to one of his right hand men to continue with the lashes after he was satisfied.

Inhumane:Taxi driver beaten mercilessly by Policemen

A taxi driver believed to be in his 40's who ply Anloga Junction to Atonsu had a close shave after some t hree Police Men p ounced on him and assulted him at the Anloga junction Taxi rank. The victim who mentioned his name as Agya Poku explaining his ordeal to TOPNEWS1 said, he engaged in an exchange of insults with the police personnel who were not in their uniform for intentionally blocking the road with their motor bike whilst the traffic light had indicated green. He said, the cops chased him to his taxi rank where he packed his car, dragged him out of his car and started to beat him up, handcuffed him and drove him off to the central Police station where he received several brutalities from other colleagues of the men in black. The driver added that, he was taken to the Police counter after receiving the beatings where he was detained for sometime before releasing him. He is currently in the hospital receiving treatment.

Politicians Tasked to Respect Tradition

The Krontiene for Sunyani Traditional Council has urged politicians to respect traditional authorities in the country. According to Nana Oboaman Bofotia Boampensem, politicians in the country have over the years displayed gross disrespect for traditional rulers, adding that the politicians are too bossy. Speaking with TOPNEWS in reaction to comments made by the MP of Atebubu-Amantin Constituency, Hon Sanja Nanja against the queen Mother of the Land, the chief said the legislator’s behavior if in the olden days, could have attracted severe banishment to him. The MP angrily insulted the authority of the queen Mother by referring to her as a drunkard.
