Shoot and Kill any armed robber who intrudes your house - Police commander commands

                  The Kwabre East District Police commander, Superintendent Suleymana Ibrahim has given some security tips to the general public on how to defend themselves against armed robbery attacks. The security officer commanded that anyone who would be attacked by an armed robber should shoot and kill the armed robber or apply any other means to defend themselves from the robbers. He said this when addressing Teachers, students and parents at Gyama Pensan Senior High School in the Kwabre East District of Ashanti Region during the inauguration of the school's Cadet last  Thursday, 21st December, 2017. Ash Reg: Suspected phone snatcher escapes lynching at Adum

                                A man suspected to be in his late 20s narrowly escaped being lynched by an angry mob at Adum, the business community within the Kumasi Metropolis, for allegedly attempting to snatch someones mobile phone. The incident happened at around 8 pm last Wednesday, 20th December, 2017. The suspect was however sent to the central police Station. He was carried in a tricycle, (Aboboyaa) to the Central Police Station after being tied with a rope on his hand and leg. Some of them suggested that he must be lynched whiles others disagreed, ending up with him being sent to the Police station. Some two police men came into the scene to support the tricycle rider carry him to the Police. He is currently with the Police at the Central Police Station assisting with investigation.

96 drivers arrested in Kumasi for defaulting road regulations

Some 95 drivers who ply the Suame route in the Kumasi Metropolis have been arrested by the Suame MTTD unit of the Ghana police service for various road offenses. Some of them were arrested for failing to wear their seat belts whiles others were arrested for defying road traffic regulations and unlawful parking. The arrested road offenders consisting of commercial and private drivers and tricycle (aboboyaa) riders were detained at the forecourt of the Suame MTTD unit for several hours, where they were taken through some road safety sensitization by the MTTD officers. Marriage photos of the two lesbians popped up on social Media, thereby arousing several concerns by Ghanaians. The couple, believed to be Ghanaians, got wed in kente cloth for the traditional part and also had an accompanying white wedding. The pictures, floating on social media have sparked up the conversation once again about gay rights which was started a few weeks ago with President Akufo-Addo’s interview with Al Jazeera.

SIMMS SHS closed amidst end of term exams

The Ashanti Regional Education Directorate in collaboration with the PTA of SIMMS Senior High School in the Kwabre East District of Ashanti Region have ordered an indefinite closure of the school, following the vandalism of the school's properties by some irate students. The closure has come on the time the students are having their end of term exams. The Kwabre East District Director of Education, Madam Akua Abrafi narrating the incident in an interview with Agyenkwa FM's Henry Ameyaw indicted that properties include Windows, 2 cars belonging to some masters, tables and mono desks destroyed, marker boards and water pipes have been destroyed by the irate students. We charge our pupils for canteen due to lack of school feeding - Kantro teachers

                     Authorities of AME Zion Primary and Junior High School at Kantro in the Brong Ahafo Region are appealing to the Government to extend the school feeding program to the school to ease stress on the pupils, teachers and parents. According to some of the teachers, they have resort to charging Ghc 2 from each of the pupils to prepare foods for them, as they have not received their share of government's school feeding program. They told Atinka Fm's Brong Ahafo Regional Rep, Ebenezer Barfi that they have to boycott classroom activities to go to the kitchen to prepare food for the children, a situation they said has been affecting their academic activities. Restoration of nursing trainees allowance has affected enrollment in private nursing schools - Royal Ann Nursing President

  Government has been asked to consider extending the Nursing trainee allowance to cover private nursing institutions, as they pay a quota to the development of the Nation.  According to the President of Royal Ann Nursing Training College, Mr. Richard Aboagye, the restoration of the Nurses Trainee allowance has adversely affected enrollment in the private nursing schools. He said this in an interview with the Media during the 8th graduation and Matriculation ceremony of the Royal Ann Nursing training college at Abuakwa Manhyia in the Ashanti Region. In a bid to prevent abuse of elderly persons in the country, a group called Guardian Of the Gray Masters has schooled the general public on the proper way to live with older persons who have entered into their menopause stage. Founder of the group, Mrs. Abigail Appiah in an interview said she was disturbed by the reckless manner most people handle their parents in their menopause age. According to the aged advocate, people have been abandoning their parents during their menopause, due to their inability to handle them, as their stage is affiliated with a bit of difficulties, a situation she described as dreadful. Parents fight KUMACA security in attempt to prevent them from sending their children home

Tension heightened at the Kumasi Academy (KUMACA), Tuesday 5th November 2017, in the Ashanti Region, as some parents clashed with the security personnel in charge when they attempted to prevent them from sending their wards home. Scores of parents who have their children at the school stormed the school to forceful take them away after reports of multiple death cases of some of the students. Four of the students were reported to have died mysteriously that morning whiles 27 others were sent to the hospital after they were attacked by strange disease. The parents upon hearing this macabre news besieged the campus  to vigorously demand the release of their wards to them but attempts were made by the security personnel to prevent them from taking the students out of campus. However, the parents who got provoked by the actions of the security men angrily pounced on them, thereby forcing them to open the main gate for them the parents to leave with their children.
