Kofi Boakye deserves to be IGP after Kudalor – Irbard Ibrahim




Security expert, Mr. Irbard Ibrahim has said the Ashanti regional Police Commander Police commander, COP Kofi Boakye could become the next Inspector General of police when the current IGP John Kudalor is off the seat.

According to him, such critical promotion may not have stemmed from political consideration but rather an appreciation for commander Boakye’s great performance in the fight against criminality in the Ashanti region, especially the arrest of “Atta Aryee “the notorious criminal in Kumasi.

Irbard has however, cautioned COP Kofi Boakye not to be swallow headed, advising that the renowned police should be firm in dealing with political parties when their followers are found culpable.

President Mahama addressing some section of the Kumasi residents when he paid a curtsy call on the Asantehene Otumfour Osie Tutu II revealed that his reason for promoting Mr. Kofi Boakye to the rank of Commissioner of Poice was in respones to calls by the Asantehene to raise the Police officer due to the great work the cop has been doing in the Region.
