A/R: Female journalist found dead in her room

Female News Anchor with Dess FM in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region Portia Agyeiwaa Kodie has been found dead in a cold blood in her room. The sad incident which happened around 8pm yesterday April 15, 2017 has thrown residents in a state of shock. A source at Dess FM who confirmed the incident to the media said they found her lifeless body in a pool of blood inside her room with multiple wound cuts on her neck. According to the source, they are suspecting foul play. The deceased body has been deposited at the Bekwai government hospital morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, the Bekwai Police Commander DSP Edward Obeng Boateng says they have commenced investigations into the matter. The body has since been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.    

Health alert: Two hospitalized after consuming expired powdered milk from Kumasi City Mall

Some two persons have allegedly been rushed to the Hospital after consuming an expired powdered milk from the Kumasi City Mall. The two victims (name withheld) are sons of a medical doctor with the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Dr. Ernest Opoku. The Doctor complained the situation on a News platform, My Ghana Today where the press radio had a copy. Dr. Ernest in his complaint said he bought a box of peak powdered milk from the "Game" section of the shopping Mall but forgot to check on the production and expiry date when his two sons unfortunately got attacked by severe enteritis after consuming some of the milk. Breaking News: Fear grips Asafo residents over day-light robbery

Residents at Asafo Dadiesoaba YF in the Kumasi Metropolis of Ashanti Region were thrown into fear and panic this afternoon (11th January, 2018) when an armed robber stormed the area to rob people at gun point. The armed robber according to reports managed to abscond with more than Ghc 2000 and mobile phones belonging to an MTN Mobile Money and bulk credit card merchant. Eye witnesses narrating the incident to Agyenkwa News said the armed robber after managing to succeed in the act, hoped on his motor bike and fled the scene.                   The Kwabre East District Police commander, Superintendent Suleymana Ibrahim has given some security tips to the general public on how to defend themselves against armed robbery attacks. The security officer commanded that anyone who would be attacked by an armed robber should shoot and kill the armed robber or apply any other means to defend themselves from the robbers. Ash Reg: Suspected phone snatcher escapes lynching at Adum

                                A man suspected to be in his late 20s narrowly escaped being lynched by an angry mob at Adum, the business community within the Kumasi Metropolis, for allegedly attempting to snatch someones mobile phone. The incident happened at around 8 pm last Wednesday, 20th December, 2017. The suspect was however sent to the central police Station. He was carried in a tricycle, (Aboboyaa) to the Central Police Station after being tied with a rope on his hand and leg. Some of them suggested that he must be lynched whiles others disagreed, ending up with him being sent to the Police station. Some two police men came into the scene to support the tricycle rider carry him to the Police. He is currently with the Police at the Central Police Station assisting with investigation.

96 drivers arrested in Kumasi for defaulting road regulations

Some 95 drivers who ply the Suame route in the Kumasi Metropolis have been arrested by the Suame MTTD unit of the Ghana police service for various road offenses. Some of them were arrested for failing to wear their seat belts whiles others were arrested for defying road traffic regulations and unlawful parking. The arrested road offenders consisting of commercial and private drivers and tricycle (aboboyaa) riders were detained at the forecourt of the Suame MTTD unit for several hours, where they were taken through some road safety sensitization by the MTTD officers. ASP K.K Kawodie, the Suame MTTD commander who spearheaded the exercise in an interview with press men said the exercise was to ensure accident free this festive season.
