Ghanaian Pastors Are Liars - Ekow Micah

Ghanaian Reggae musician and President of the Ghana Music Council, Ekow Micah has taken a swipe at Ghanaian pastors describing them as liars. According to the ‘Mesi wo hemaa’ hitmaker, the pastors are not telling the truth to their congregations but rather making a business out of the poor people in the various churches. “The pastors are liars, they are not telling the church members the truth but rather extorting monies from the poor people to make themselves rich, buying luxurious cars and also buying big mansion without caring for the members”, he disclosed to Mike’2’ on Adom Entertainment Hall show last Saturday. Ghanaian Reggae artiste, Ekow Micah has shockingly revealed why he smokes Indian hemp, a banned substance popularly called "wee". Making a strong case for his stance with a verse from the Holy Bible, the controversial musician told host of  “Entertainment Review” Akwasi Aboagye that God smokes "wee". Quoting Psalm 18:7-8, Micah said he is motivated to smoke "wee" because God himself smoked the substance per the narrative from the holy scriptures. KSI/ Maakro: Residents call for closure of disturbing drinking spots

Some section of residents at Maakro, in the Kumasi Metropolis are vehemently advocating for the immediate closure of some two drinking spots at the area, as they bemoaned that the activities of the spots have been causing public nuisance and danger. According to the residents, this has come into necessity as the activities of the two drinking spots, Michigan spot and Number One spot located at the station have been breeding on criminals and other unscrupulous persons who have been terrorizing on innocent people. Some of the residents who irritably spoke with Angel News upon a visit to the area lamented that there has not been serenity at the area, as the spots has persistently been disturbing them with obnoxious dissonance of noisemaking from sound systems as well as the audience who storm the places to entertain themselves. Ash Reg: Cop commits suicide after an argument with lover at Tafo

Lance Corporal Ebenezer Kofi Okyere with the Striking Force Unit of the Ghana police Service has shot and killed himself with an AK 47 assault rifle this morning (Wednesday 12/07/207) at about 7am after a disagreement with his lover. According to family members at Old Tafo where the incident took place, the deceased aged 35, had spent the night with the unnamed girlfriend in his private home and while he was preparing for work, a disagreement over a telephone conversation ensued between them. The deceased threatened to kill himself, a threat the girl took serious and decided to report to the police but before she could get some assistance, Lance Corporal Ebenezer Kofi Okyere had already pulled the trigger.   A 5 Member Committee to investigate and prioritize on the poor nature of Roads in the Kumasi Metropolis and to prioritize their construction  has been established by the Ashanti Regional Minister.  Hon. Simon Osei-Mensah explained that, the five member committee  is to just investigate and prioritize the roads which need immediate construction but not to necessarily construct the roads as being speculated by some media outlets. The beneficiaries of the donation include, the Ashanti Regional Blind Union. They were given 60 white canes which worth Ghc 3,000.00 to assist their movement. Boase youth rounded up by Military men over captain Mahama's murder

Several youth of Boase in the Upper West Denkyira district of the Central region have been rounded up by Military men who have stormed the town over the killing of an officer, Captain Maxwell Mahama, by indegenes of the mining community. According to an army statement, about 35 troops are currently in the town to unravel the circumstances surrounding the mob killing of the young officer. The youth are being held for their alleged involvement in the murder of the soldier. Mahama was lynched by residents on suspicion of being an armed robber. The Captain was a military officer with the 5th Infantry Batallion (5BN) at Burma Camp in Accra but on detachment duties at the Denkyira Boase of the Central region.
