Odotobri Rural bank donates to some institutions Ashanti Reg

The Odotobri rural Bank Ltd as part of its cooperate social responsibilities has donated some assorted items and cash token worth, Ghc 13,720.00, to some group of Schools and other institutions in the Ashanti Region.

The beneficiaries of the donation include, the Ashanti Regional Blind Union. They were given 60 white canes which worth Ghc 3,000.00 to assist their movement. The bank also donated 10 full pieces of GTP Adepa cloth costing Ghc 2,640.00 to the Adansi South Education directorate to be given to deserving teachers in the 2016 best teacher Awards, as a way of motivating them. The Kumasi Islamic Senior High School also received 20 ceiling fans worth Ghc 3,080.00 to help in furnishing their newly constructed administration block.

Another institution that benefited was the Osei Kyeretwie SHS. The school received 100 bags of cement worth, Ghc 3,000.00 to support the construction of a fence wall.

Presenting the items, the Chief Executive officer for the bank, Mr. Siaka Baba Ahmed called for a collaborative effort in raising the standard of education in the country.

On their part, receivers of the donations expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the bank.

The Chairman for the Ashanti Regional Ghana blind Union, Mr. George Kyeremanteng who took the sticks on behalf of union told Kase3bonsem that the sticks given to them will ease some stress on them, as they find it difficult to purchase them due to financial constrains.

He therefore thanked the bank and said sticks will be disbursed to members of their union who are in the rural areas.

Moreover, Mrs. Evelyn Benewoe, the Adansi South district director of Education who received the clothes on behalf of the district education said they will make sure the clothes will be appropriately given to the right persons. She thanked the bank for their kind gesture.

The Assistant Headmaster for the Kumasi Islamic SHS who took the ceiling fans for the school also expressed his gratitude towards the bank for their kind gesture.

Finally, the Headmistress of the Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School, Mrs. Mary Cromwell Owusu who received the cheaque on behalf of the School thanked the bank for their generous gesture and appealed to government and other stakeholders of the country to come to the aid of the school, as they are faced with a lot of challenges.
