KSI/ Maakro: Residents call for closure of disturbing drinking spots

Some section of residents at Maakro, in the Kumasi Metropolis are vehemently advocating for the immediate closure of some two drinking spots at the area, as they bemoaned that the activities of the spots have been causing public nuisance and danger.

According to the residents, this has come into necessity as the activities of the two drinking spots, Michigan spot and Number One spot located at the station have been breeding on criminals and other unscrupulous persons who have been terrorizing on innocent people.

Some of the residents who irritably spoke with Angel News upon a visit to the area lamented that there has not been serenity at the area, as the spots has persistently been disturbing them with obnoxious dissonance of noisemaking from sound systems as well as the audience who storm the places to entertain themselves.

According to them, the spots have been operating from day time till midnight, with sometimes closing at 3am, a situation they said has been given them sleepless nights, as the noise has been penetrating into their rooms.

They are hereby calling on the city authorities to as a matter of urgency intervene in the situation or they defy the law to do the worst if they stay adamant to their ordeal.
