KMA bans tricycle operations from the Central business District

As part of measures to install sanity and ease  congestion and traffic jams in the Kumasi Metropolis, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, (KMA), has issued restrictions to tricycle operations within the Central business District effective July 24th, 2023. According to the head of transport department at KMA, Mr. Randy Wilson, Kumasi has been one of the thriving economic centers in Ghana that draws a lot of visitors and investors for business, with the central business district being the main point for business operations. Addressing a section of the media in Kumasi, Mr. Randy said the CBD neighborhoods including Adum, Kejetia, Central Market, and Roman Hill are severely congested due to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic, hence, their decision to restrict tricycle operations at these areas. Mother dumps baby at doorstep of pastor, leaves emotional note

An unidentified mother has abandoned her newly born baby with a suicide note at the doorstep of a pastor at  Ahodwo, a suburb of Kpong in the Lower Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region. According to the suicide note left behind by the mother, the baby was delivered on Saturday, July 15, before she decided to abandon her. The baby was left at the doorstep of the resident pastor of the New Covenant Apostolic church at Ahodwo on Sunday, July 16, 2023. The distressed woman stated in the note that, taking her life was the only way the baby could survive. Below is the details of the note she left.

BREAKING NEWS: Man found dead at Kejetia

Sad information gathered by Filasconews.com and cited by TopNews1 indicates that, a man believed to be in his early Thirties, has been found dead at Kejetia, in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA). Eye witness told this portal this morning around 7:50am that, the body was discovered this morning at the said place. Specifically, Kejetia New Market, the section opposite Adehyie market. As at the time of filing this report, the body has not been conveyed.

A/R: Female journalist found dead in her room

Female News Anchor with Dess FM in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region Portia Agyeiwaa Kodie has been found dead in a cold blood in her room. The sad incident which happened around 8pm yesterday April 15, 2017 has thrown residents in a state of shock. A source at Dess FM who confirmed the incident to the media said they found her lifeless body in a pool of blood inside her room with multiple wound cuts on her neck. According to the source, they are suspecting foul play. The deceased body has been deposited at the Bekwai government hospital morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, the Bekwai Police Commander DSP Edward Obeng Boateng says they have commenced investigations into the matter. The body has since been deposited at the morgue for autopsy.
