Don't mount pressure on the incoming govn't - Prof. Asante

The chairman for National peace council, Prof. Emmanuel Asante has asked Ghanaians to exercise patience with the incoming NPP government in executing their promises they made to Ghanaians in the run up to the just ended general elections.

That Ghanaians should desist from mounting pressure on Nana Addo and his yet to commence work NPP government as to the implementation of their numerous assurances to Ghanaians, to enable them give out their best of performance to ensure the progress of the country.

Speaking in an interview with Kwame TANKO on Angel In the Morning, the former presiding Bishop of the Methodist church of Ghana urged Ghanaians to support the incoming government instead of putting pressure on it to hastily deal with its promises, to be able to work effectively to ensure the Nation takes its good stand.

According to him, the NPP's one district one factory policy is a very good idea which may need the strength and the support of the masses to be properly executed, as this policy if been able to be implemented will provide a lot of employment for the people in the country to bring some relief.

Prof. Asante further admonished those who will beappointed to work in Nana Addo's administration to learn from the lapses of the outgoing NDC appointees to be able to make the right choices in their services.

He advised them to work very hard and desist from any form of corrupt practices, as Ghanaians are expecting a lot from them.
