Public cautioned against mobile fraudsters

The general public is being advised to be wary of some unscrupulous individuals who have been parading themselves as Mobile money workers and relatives of people living abroad to defraud people. The issue of people being doped through dubious means is nothing strange in the system, as complaints have been hearing that people have been posing themselves as mobile network staffers, calling customers to demand money payment to receive an award by the mobile network. Other reports says people have been posing themselves as relatives of some individuals who are living abroad; call them on phone that they have sent them some items including cash which demands that the receiver pays some amount to the delivery of the items before being handled the items but turns out to be scam. Akufo Addo leadership is what Ghana needs – Dr Edward Mahama

The flag bearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC) in the 2016 general elections, Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama has said the Akufo Addo style of leadership is what Ghana needs at this time in the life of the country. Commenting on President Akufo Addo’s maiden State of the Nation Address which was presented before Parliament yesterday, the failed presidential contender said if people listened to what the president said and act on them, Ghana would be a better place. The President outrightly condemned what has become an institutionalized post election transitional violence amongst members of the NDC and the NPP and called on the leadership of both parties to nib that practice in the bud; this call, Dr Edward Mahama lauded the President for, describing him as impartial and someone who abhors lawlessness.

Woman 52, wakes up with private part shaved

    A 52 year old woman woke up to her amazement after realizing her private part has been shaved with no trace of the barber. The incident which occurred at Sefwi Anwiaso in the western region is said to have raised a lot of panic in residents in the area as they fear who the next target would be. Speaking to the victim she said, she went to bed that fateful night with her doors locked making it surprising for the horror to happen. She said, she had a deep sleep that night but was surprise she had no feel of the unknown person’s presence in her room fearing her life might be at risk.

Tragic death of school kids: Gov't foots burial cost

Education Minister, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh says government will pay for the cost of treatment and burial of the eight children who died when their school building collapsed on them on Monday. The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South who paid a visit to the school described the incident as tragic. Speaking on Kumasi base Angel FMs' Angel in the Morning program, Dr Prempeh promised that whatever "we have to do to ensure that there is a speedy burial, which is happening today, is at no cost to the families". Some six kindergarten school children – ages four and five – of the Breman Jamera Methodist School in the Odoben Brakwa District in the Central region, lost their lives when the classroom block collapsed on them. The about 70 pupils were preparing to begin lessons when the macabre incident occurred.

Mahama condemns invasion of Kofi Adams’ house by ‘Flagstaff House’ security men

Former President John Dramani Mahama is not happy with Wednesday’s ransacking of the home of National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by men believed to be from the National Security.   The men seized five vehicles of Kofi Adams’. He was not home when the incident occurred   Taking to Facebook   this morning, Former President Mahama said the “Flagstaff House” officers “knew very well they were on the wrong path”. He described the recent spate of attacks on his party’s functionaries as “needless” and “unprovoked”, calling for an immediate end to them. Meanwhile, a member of the team that went to Mr Adams’ house has explained the circumstances leading to the operation. Gabby Gilbert Morton wrote on Facebook that the cars belong to the state and Mr Adams was notified three weeks ago to return them.
