Kwabre East NDC Youth Angry With PC for Sleeping on their Victory

A youth group within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kwabre East District of the Ashanti Region is angry with their Parliamentary Candidate and DCE for the area Hon Idissah Adams accusing him of sleeping on the party’s victory as far as this year’s elections is concern. According to the group, Mr Adams has since his election as the PC, not done anything to sell the party, at a time that the NPP candidate in the area Francisca Oteng is campaigning from house to house. In an interview with Convener of the group Samed Kooli Jnr Akalilu, he said the NDC party is losing its grounds at the Kwabre East due to the actions and inaction of the Parliamentary Candidate and DCE Idissah Adams who seem not interested in helping the party win this year’s elections. The group says it will force the PC to come out and do the campaign if he continues to stay adamant.

Damongo Police decry Poor Place of Convenience

Police at Damongo in the Northern Region are bemoaning the lack of proper place of convenience for the personnel, as the men still use pan latrine for easing themselves in this 20 th century. The officer in charge of the Damango Police command, Chief Inspector Daniel Adu Gyamfi, in an interview with TOPNEWS1,  decried the unbearable hardship they are going through due to the situation at hand, saying they fear the possibility of outbreak of a sanitation related disease due to stench emanating from the latrine. According to him, they have been using the pan latrine method of easing for two years now since he was posted to the station, a situation he said has been a very big blow to the personnel, as several complaints lodged to the authorities for better toilet facility have yielded no positive results. He appealed to authorities to as a matter of urgency provide them with a hygienic toilet facility.          ...

Parliament recalled to consider Mahama impeachment motion

Members of Parliament (MP) have been recalled to consider a motion seeking to impeach President John Mahama for accepting a ford Expedition vehicle as a gift from a Burkinabe contractor. An investigative report by Joy News’ Manasseh Awuni Azure quotes Mr Kanazoe confirms giving the vehicle to the President through Ghana’s Ambassador to Burkina Faso. Djibril Kanazoe who describes the President as a friend is the contractor behind the controversial $650,000 Ghana Embassy wall in Burkina Faso which was flagged by Parliament’s Public Account Committee (PAC). Obinim explains why he flogged his Church Members, says Jesus knew he would be in trouble

Bishop Obinim in a latest video captured from the Accra Police Headquarters, where he is being detained, has explained the circumstances that compelled him to lash his two members with a belt in his church. The video captures the embattled man of God and his subordinate who was arrested together with him, explaining to him that he {Bishop Obinim} was instructed by his Father Jesus, to discipline the two church members for an alleged fornication. According to him, Jesus who instructed him to do so know he {Obinim} would find himself in trouble after adhering to the instructions, and that he is not afraid even if his situation will lead him to death. Bishop Obinim was trying to console his subordinate as he looked very disappointing from the looks upon his face.
