  Our great ancestors have left us a wonderful adage, “Wo ni wu a, w’abusua asa.” (“The departure of one’s mother to eternity terminates one’s blood relationships on earth.”). Your passing away leaves me homeless. I thank the Good Lord for giving you to me for 66 years as my mother. You have indeed been my all. You did not only give me life; you gave me life that is worth living. You brought me up in the cultural traditions of our forefathers. You gave me the best of humanity to make me what I am today. You were a beacon of wisdom to me. You loved me and my siblings, and you did everything for us, except condone evil in our lives. You were a disciplinarian to the core. Obong reportedly saved more than Shs200 million (about N17m) to bribe the Almighty Father on Judgement Day so He could forgive his earthly sins. Sack Daasebre, Kenedy Agyapong charges Ashh FM GM.

The chief executive officer of Kumasi based Ashh FM and Member of Parliament for Assin Central has called for the dismissal of his employee, Daasebre Dwamena, a broadcast journalist with Kumasi based Ashh fm, who was reported missing after the just ended general elections. The news of Daasebre Dwamena’s missing had been circulating on social media for about a month now, as he failed to show himself up after going to his hometown, Akyeremade, near Kokofu in the Ashanti Region to exercise his franchise and sent in some election reports to his station. INAUGURAL ADDRESS OF HIS EXCELLENCY, NANA ADDO DANKWA AKUFO-ADDO, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS SWEARING IN AS PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, AND COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF OF THE GHANA ARMED FORCES.  DATE: 7TH JANUARY, 2017 Mr Speaker, The Ghanaian people give thanks to Almighty God for the blessings, favour and grace He continues to bestow on them. RAWLINGS SNUBS OKO VANDAPUOE

Founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jerry John Rawlings subjected the Accra Mayor, Alfred Oko Vanderpuje to what could be labelled as embarrassment of his life, as the states man snubbed him after the later tried to have a chat with him. This was captured in a 13-second video that was captured prior to President Mahama’s State of the Nation Address to parliament on Thursday 5th January this year, when the mayor appeared to have greeted Mr Rawlings while he climbed the staircase to the parliament house which he reluctantly responded. Oko Vanderpuje later made another attempt to whisper something into the ear of the former president who at the time walking on the red carpet but he shoved him off with a sign literally meaning he was not interested in whatever he had to say. The chairman for National peace council, Prof. Emmanuel Asante has asked Ghanaians to exercise patience with the incoming NPP government in executing their promises they made to Ghanaians in the run up to the just ended general elections.
