There’s no future for health care in Ghana – Nsiah Asare

A former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and Executive Director of political pressure group, Movement For Change , Dr. Nsiah Asare has said there is no future for health care delivery in the country, looking at the way some interventions like the NHIS has been managed since the NDC government took over power in 2009. Speaking withTOPNEWS1, the medical doctor revealed the NHIS would have been in a far better shape if the original plan had been followed through to the latter, lamenting the policy is virtually useless nowadays because some reliefs like free maternal care and free treatment for some diseases that originally were catered for by the scheme have been stopped. He further said employment issues would take center stage in this year’s electioneering campaign and that people would consider their unemployment situations to cast their votes for the various parties. CITIZEN ALERT- CAR SNATCHERS ADOPTS NEW STRATEGY

The general public is being reminded to stay alert as some car snatchers devices new tactis of robbing cars. A victim, Evans Appiah(29) who has been robbed of his 2013 Hyundai Elantra model at East Legon has recounted his ordeal to TOP NEWS1 . Evans who decided to sell his car was confronted by a man believed to be in his early thirties who expressed interest in purchasing the car. Upon being satisfied with the condition of the car, the unknown man requested a test drive of the car and in the process bolted away with the car. He has since then not located his car and still in the search for his car The general public is therefore being cautioned to be extra vigilant whenever dealing with people who intend purchasing their car.

Adadiem pupils bemoan unattractive environment.

The bad structure of the Adadiem Junior High School JHS in the Suame constituency as well as the clunk of metals by some mechanics who are occupying a portion of the school compound, have been affecting the activities of the pupils and their teachers in the school. A visit to the school by TOPNEWS1 confirmed that the roofing sheets of the school building are deteriorated and the noise by the mechanics who use a portion of the school compound is much inconveniencing. Some of the students who expressed their ordeal to TOPNEWS1 said they have been battling with the situation for years and said it is really affecting their academic activities. “This place is not attractive for lessons to be conducted here at all. The noise by the mechanics has always been destructing us and classes are always called off whenever it begins to rain due to the leaky roofing sheets”.
